Our Team

At Bloomsdale Excavating, TEAMWORK is central to our clients’ success. From the management to the field, we all work together to ensure the success of your project.

Our executive management has over 100 combined years of experience in the industry. You’ll find that their experience is based in INTEGRITY from working in the field. This leads to an understanding of constructability and what it takes to complete your projects on time and within your budget.

Our executive management leads our team of project managers. These are the people you will work with in the field to ensure your project runs smoothly. Our project managers are on site every day to guarantee your project’s success.

You will become familiar with other names and faces while working with Bloomsdale Excavating. Our safety managers regularly visit our jobsites to ensure our employees adhere to the highest safety standards.

Our corporate office is located in Bloomsdale, MO. We have one satellite office that operates in the Rolla, MO (Mid-Missouri) region. Our employees in all locations will communicate with you throughout your project. Whether it’s related to accounting, technology, engineering or equipment, we partner with you to give you the best possible experience.

Meet Our Team


Scott Drury

President

Scott Drury has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and currently serves as President. Drury is responsible for the vision of Bloomsdale Excavating, ensuring the company’s Core Values are adhered to, empowering people to succeed and protecting the reputation of the company and its employees. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations, Regional Manager, and General Superintendent of grading and utility construction.

Drury is involved in industry and community organizations. He is actively involved in the AGC of Missouri and served as the 2021 Chairman of the Board. A member of the AGC of Illinois, Southern Illinois Builders Association, AGC Mississippi Valley Branch, the Sustainable Ozarks Partnership, the Missouri Limestone Producers Association, and the SITE Improvement Association, which he serves on the labor negotiating committee. Drury is an Honorary State Trooper and maintains an active partnership with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (Team Red, White, and Blue), is a contributor and supporter of Pony Bird and the World Bird Sanctuary along with a variety of other community activities.


Gary Lalumandier

Vice President, Operations

Gary Lalumandier serves as the Vice President of operations for Bloomsdale Excavating. Lalumandier provides direction and guidance to the operations of all regions with a focus on strategic, tactical and short-term operations management. He is responsible for the operation and improvement of the systems that create and deliver Bloomsdale Excavating services, ensuring business operations are efficient and effective.

Prior to serving as Vice President of Operations, Lalumandier held the position of operations manager for Bloomsdale Excavating. His duties included overseeing the operations in all regions, serving as the link between consistent and effective flow of company resources among all regions, assisting regional construction managers with forecasting resources for future projects, and facilitating resolution of internal conflicts regarding resource needs. He also handles contractual issues and project disputes and assists in their resolution in conjunction with the regional construction manager and business development director.

Lalumandier began his career with Bloomsdale Excavating as a regional construction manager, managing all projects in the Central Region. His responsibilities included reviewing all project documents for contracts, subcontracts, owner-required documentation and intercompany project correspondence. A critical task included evaluating project efficiency, success and profitability relating to equipment selection and labor resources.


Daniel J. Latham

Vice President of Sales

Dan Latham brings more than 12 years of experience to Bloomsdale Excavating Co., Inc. Latham is responsible for seeking out and reviewing solicitations for potential projects to be bid as well as preparing cost estimates for projects including determining equipment and labor availability and requirements. He solicits subcontractors and material supplier quotations; schedules pre-bid site visits and meetings; and reviews all project documents related to contracts, subcontracts, and owner-required documentation. He also handles inter-company correspondence and coordination on awarded projects from notice of award through to final project closeout.

Daniel holds his Professional Engineer (PE), is USACE QC Certified and has worked on numerous USACE projects throughout his career at Bloomsdale Excavating.


Bill Priesmeyer

Executive Vice President

Bill Priesmeyer, as Executive Vice President, spends his time as a mentor to our engineers, estimators, and project managers, cultivating and promoting “The Bloomsdale Way” and our core values that sustain and uphold our day-to-day processes. Bloomsdale Excavating Company takes great pride in delivering to our clients, “The Bloomsdale Way”. The Bloomsdale Way begins in a project's Sales and Marketing/Preconstruction phases and continues through project completion. 

Recognizing the importance of succession planning, Bloomsdale Excavating Company has entrusted Bill the role of Executive Vice President as of July 2023. Before, Bill was formerly Bloomsdale Excavating’s Vice President of Preconstruction. He continues to serve on the Bloomsdale Excavating Executive Team assisting in the overall decision-making direction of the company to ensure the future of our company and the young professionals that have joined our team in recent years.


Denise Abt

Administrative Services Director

Denise Abt, as Administrative Services Director, oversees Bloomsdale Excavating’s accounting and administrative staff members and is responsible for payroll processing, job costing and work-in-progress reports, audit letters, business licenses and payables review.

Abt joined the company in 2005 as an accounts payable clerk, responsible for processing invoices, maintaining company credit cards and processing payroll biweekly. In 2012, Denise assumed the position of accounts receivable clerk, with responsibility for all billing, updating job cost reports, setting up new equipment and vehicles, managing equipment maintenance records, including oil change tracking and weekly equipment time processing, and managing the daily line-up. Abt was promoted to Administrative Services Director in 2017.
