However, the rules and regulations associated with publicly funded projects can limit collaboration. For example, to keep the playing field level, communications are often prohibited between contractors and the public entity making the final award. Due to the enormous success of delivery method improvements in the private sector, the public sector is beginning to look toward some Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) adoption.
Bloomsdale Excavating has been the contractor of choice on a multitude of public projects over the past 70+ years. Understanding how to navigate public projects provides for a better working relationship with the entities we serve, including those with transportation, municipal, Corps of Engineers, education and recreation projects.
