PROJECT: Westlake Landfill

PROJECT SUMMARY 
Bloomsdale Excavating was contracted by Feezor Engineering to perform an array of construction activities on the 200-acre Westlake Landfill site. Bloomsdale Excavating has become an exclusive partner for potential on-call activities that arise in this environmentally sensitive area. Due to the presence of radiation, all personnel are fully HAZ WHOPPER trained.   

Project activities included fence repair, clearing & grinding, construction of concrete block retaining walls, importing and placing aggregate for leveling of drill rig pads, installing drainage pipes, and installing concrete curbs & gutters. 
The primary activity performed was installing drill pads ranging in height from 4’ to 16’ tall. Bloomsdale has imported and placed over 10,000 tons of aggregate and 500 - 2’x4’x4’ concrete retaining wall blocks.
